Local BEST group Niš has been officially accepted as a member of BEST on 17th January 2007, as an Observer group, to get Baby Member status at the Presidents' Meeting in Valladolid and it was granted Full Member status at the General Assembly in Budapest in 2009.
In the past time, we have organized one internal BEST event, called Information Technology Committee Developers Meeting in the summer of 2007, summer course 2008 Real IT - Where Academia Meets Industry, Job Fair 08, summer course 2009 Some Like It Recycled, Urban Recycled, Job Fair 09, summer course 2010 Smart Houses of the Future, summer course 2011 Save for Tomorrow - Save Tomorrow, as well as a large number of trainings, motivational trips and parties, to spread the positive BEST spirit and increase our member count.
Executive body of our Local BEST Group Niš is the 7-member board, which gathers our President, Treasurer, Secretary, Fund Raising Responsible, Public Relations Responsible, Human Resources Responsible and Informational Technologies Responsible. The members of the board are reelected once a year, at the Regular Assembly, which is held once every six months.
Local BEST Group Niš currently has over 30 members, divided into four subgroups:
Observers (members that have recently joined BEST and are still in the process of deciding whether BEST is what they are looking for);
Young Members (members that have just started participating in activities of BEST but still haven’t confirmed themselves completely);
Active Members (the members that have distinguished themselves through their activities and contribution to the Local BEST Group);
Alumni Members (credited members).
